Television, fairy tales and other pop-culture staples inspired the artists behind Pop! Pop!
In "Let There Be Hope," "Little Dead Riding Hood" and "Wonderland," Ohio painter Justin Rose explores Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood and Alice in Wonderland. "I chose fairy tales as a theme because they've been so popularized over the years and are enjoyed and recognized by everyone," he says. "I think most people like a good horror story where the main characters overcome monsters and demons and end up on top. There's definitely a sense of hope in strange, morbid fairy tales."
