With a handful of locations from West Palm Beach to Kendall, Gatsby's has cultivated a style that's both elegant and easygoing. While each locale is outfitted with mahogany pool tables, big–screen TVs and a late-night eats menu, Gatsby's Palm Beach recently added elements of a high-energy dance club. If you were hoping for a quiet night of pool with the guys, the pool tables remain but they are now located in the back, giving way to a massive dance floor, a high-tech sound and lighting system, and an large stage to accommodate bands and DJs. From Wednesdays through Saturdays the venue has become a place to shake a rump and sling back oversize cocktails from a drink menu that features more than 40 signature drinks, several beers and wines. If you miss the old Gatsby's, the daily after-work happy hour will satisfy your frugal drinking pleasure from 4 to 8 p.m.

Stop by for: Gatsby's ladies night featuring drink specials and DJ Stevie D, "the Dick Clark of hip–hop," spinning old-school hip-hop and R&B Wednesday; House for Life featuring half–priced Finlandia drinks all night with DJ Matt Spector spinning sexy house Thursday; bands and DJs Friday and Saturday; in–the–biz night with free games of pool Sunday

Load up on: The Up All Night martini, made with Finlandia classic vodka, Amarula cream liqueur, Tuaca Italian vanilla citrus liqueur and espresso shaken and served in a chilled martini glass; or beers such as Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout or Framboise Raspberry Lambic

Tunes: Kanye West's "Flashing Lights"

Leave the house in:
Bright, primary–colored spring dresses for ladies, and jeans and buttoned shirts for guys

How to find it: 901 Village Blvd., in West Palm Beach, 561-686-7300, Gatsbysfl.com
