This past summer, while you were busy leaving puddles of sweat dancing in the same ol’ dank and balmy nightclubs, clubbers who knew better were frequenting the new Lincoln Road spot Halo. The venue’s pristine location is a favorite of gays and straights alike who expect nothing more from a night out than a cool climate, no cover, great drinks, rotating DJs and plenty of space for good conversation. You’ll find all this and then some at Halo. The drinks alone look like meals whipped up by contestants on Bravo’s "Top Chef," with fresh fruits and herbs blooming in cocktail glasses. The thick drink booklet includes mimosas, martinis, Bellinis, Bloody Marys and exotic drinks such as the Strawberry Jive, made with Bulldog gin, strawberries and mashed basil and mint leaves. Most drinks cost less than $10, which by South Beach standards means they’re all but free. Halo hosts a daily happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. and stays open until 3 a.m. nightly.
