Nearly 30 girls compete at Karu for the golden title

The 26th Annual Miss Hawaiian Tropic State Competition took place last Saturday, Nov. 23, at Karu & Y. Nearly 30 local girls faced the panel during a closed judging session earlier in the evening, then strutted down the catwalk in a bathing suit in front of a lively crowd. Five contestants shared in a $2500 cash prize, but only two women proceeded to the final competition in March, when one winner will be chosen to become The Miss Hawaiian Tropic spokesperson.
