Were you afraid of clowns as a child? Are you afraid of them now? If you answered yes to either question, you may want to stay away from The Circus Bar and Grill in Pompano Beach. This small neighborhood bar embraces all things found under the big top. Barnum and Bailey memorabilia line the interior walls, as do a stained-glass picture of a clown that's more cute than scary and caricatures of past and current employees. Despite its circus theme, the bar is essentially a laid-back watering hole where the bartenders wear leotards.
