This weekend offers up an array of choices good enough for anyone’s party palette. Take the cultured route and ring in the11-year anniversary with the Wallflower Gallery. This Downtown Miami establishment has weathered many storms and deserves its props on our weekend highlights. While this event starts at 1 p.m. and will go on into the night, the Forge's Dirty Dancing event doesn't kick into gear until 10 p.m. Wait, there's even more... Head north to heat things up at Nobles, where the "Guns and Hoses" are coming out. You won't get to stuff singles down the pants of sexy cops and firefighters, but drink and donation proceeds will benefit police and firefighters in the area.

Wallflower Gallery

Proving to be resilient, the Wallflower Gallery celebrates its 11-year-anniversary Saturday. The birthday event includes spoken word, art, music and culture. The party starts at 1 p.m. and ends no earlier than 1 a.m. Admission is $5

Nobles

Head to Nobles on Friday to get a close-up of the big "Guns and Hoses" (a.k.a. police and firefighters for anyone who doesn't have a dirty mind). The event sounds so bad, but it's oh-so-good. This first annual party will raise funds for local firefighters, police and city employees between the hours of 6-9 p.m. Admission is free and drinks are half-priced for anyone who is an official city gun-or-hose holder.

Grab your best school gear and hit the Himmarshee District on Friday when Voodoo Lounge is bringing an Old Skool Reunion. In the main room you've got Rob E, Versastyle, Exotic E and more spinning all the tunes you love.
