10 NE 3rd St., MiamiProving to be resilient, the Wallflower Gallery celebrates its 11-year-anniversary Saturday. The birthday event includes spoken word, art, music and culture. The party starts at 1 p.m. and ends no earlier than 1 a.m. Admission is $5

213 Clematis St, West Palm BeachHead to Nobles on Friday to get a close-up of the big "Guns and Hoses" (a.k.a. police and firefighters for anyone who doesn't have a dirty mind). The event sounds so bad, but it's oh-so-good. This first annual party will raise funds for local firefighters, police and city employees between the hours of 6-9 p.m. Admission is free and drinks are half-priced for anyone who is an official city gun-or-hose holder.
