Sure bet:

Wednesday 01: MSTRKRFT
Anyone looking to dance till their legs give out should see the Canadian electronica duo known as MSTRKRFT (pronounced, "Mastercraft"). The group comprises Jesse F. Keeler—formerly of Death From Above 1979, a Toronto-based punk band with metal and dance influences—and that band's one-time producer Alex Puodziukas, a.k.a. Al-P. The duo mix popping synths, pounding bass and a sprinkle of hip-hop lyrics to guarantee a nonstop dancing workout. MSTRKRFT is currently touring to promote its sophomore album, "Fist of God," which peaked at No. 12 on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart. Keeler and Al-P collaborated with a number of other artists, including N.O.R.E. and John Legend, for the album. DJ Ross One will spin.

Location: LIV at Fontainebleau, 4441 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
Time: 11 p.m.
Cost: $30

Cheap Bet:

Saturday 04: Detox Pool Party

There's nothing liberating about spending Independence Day at home on Facebook with a six-pack of Bud Light Lime and handful of sparklers. So slap on your sexiest swimwear and head over to Exit 66 for two rooms of music by dirty-house DJ Oscar G and breakbeat mixmaster Icey. DJs Hydroz, Artime, Pete Rage, JFelix, Midas and Mark Barbagallo also will perform.

Location: Exit 66, 219 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale
Time: Noon-10 p.m.
Cost: $10
Contact: 954-357-9981 or Exitsixtysix.com

Thursday 02: Nonpoint
While Orlando seems to be ground zero for lame boy bands such as 'N Sync, O-Town and Backstreet Boys, Fort Lauderdale has spawned Marilyn Manson and Nonpoint. The alternative-metal group, which toured with Filter and Papa Roach, scored hits such as "Bullet With a Name" and "The Truth." But the band's tormented version of Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" is so solid, even Patrick Bateman from American Psycho would approve. Fellow metalheads Kezia, Rising Up Angry and Beauty to the Moon also will perform.

Location: Revolution Live, 200 W. Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale
Time: 6 p.m.
Cost: $17
Contact: 954-727-0950 or Jointherevolution.net

Friday 03: Behrouz, Josh Wink and Jon Cowan
Typically, to see these three DJs in one night, you'd have to hop flights to San Francisco, Ibiza and Philadelphia. But tonight, you can see them all under the roof of the Shelborne. Behrouz, who has mixed tunes with Deep Dish and Paul Oakenfold, will mash tribal, house and trance for an energizing Fourth of July pre-party. Acid-house DJ Josh Wink will play hits such as "Higher State of Consciousness," which was featured in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Jon Cowan, meanwhile, will spin house tunes. A complimentary cocktail reception will take place 10 p.m.-midnight, but you must RSVP to melissa@shelborne.com.

Location: Shine at the Shelborne, 1801 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Time: 10 p.m.
Cost: $20
Contact: 305-341-1318 or Shinesouthbeach.com

Friday 03-Saturday 04: Lil Jon
Yeahhhh … Lil Jon is performing at Mansion Friday, but if you can't fit that show into your hectic schedule, you can still get crunk with him Saturday at Opium Hard Rock in Hollywood. In 2008, the rapper launched the Little Jonathan Winery, and while his fruity Crunk energy drink tastes like ass, his 2006 Central Coast Chardonnay last week won a Silver Medal from the Los Angeles International Wine and Spirits Competition. Still, there's no telling what he'll have in his pimp cup this weekend.

Location: Mansion, 1235 Washington Ave., Miami Beach (Friday), Opium Hard Rock, 5729 Seminole Way, Hollywood (Saturday)
Time: 10 p.m.
Cost: $20
Contact: 305-531-5535 or Mansionmiami.com; 954-327-9094 or Opiumhardrock.com
