Boo time

Halloween is more than a week away, yet for some people, that’s simply too long to wait to dress up as Sarah Palin, Shia LaBeouf, a "Twilight" vampire or something equally horrifying. So a number of nightclubs, haunted houses and other venues will open their doors this weekend to masqueraders, grown-up trick-or-treaters and the like. But that all will be a prelude to the holiday itself, which this year falls on a Friday, guaranteeing a heightened level of demonic behavior, a dramatic increase in imbibed spirits and an epidemic of hellish hangovers. The following list includes the biggest Halloween-related events in South Florida, some of which are already taking place.
