With great countrified rock acts such as Two Story Double Wide, Truckstop Coffee and Los Diablos, you may think the local market is saturated. You’d be wrong. Black Finger has found a niche among all these bands, channeling Townes Van Zandt, "Exile on Main Street"-era Rolling Stones, Toby Keith and any guy who sings for change on the street corner in Nashville. The band’s debut, this year’s "Contains Lead," starts off suitably with the chugging “Dixie Anthem” and carries on through the slow, soft closing track, “Deathstoned.” It’s one of the best local albums of the year, delivered by a band with a promising future.
