Photos from this weekend's hip-hop extravaganza featuring Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul and more
Hitting a sunny summer day in South Florida, the Rock The Bells International Festival Series entered an enthusiastic, sold-out venue Saturday, Aug. 2 at Downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park. Well into its fifth year, the hip-hop showcase brought flavor to the ears of a massive wave of backpacking scenesters, beat heads and lyrical appreciators from noon ‘til midnight. The halfway stop on the 10-city tour invited fresh headliners like Wale, Immortal Technique and more, in addition to reuniting old-school vets such as The Pharcyde, A Tribe Called Quest, members of the Wu-Tang Clan and the one-and-only Nas to the platform. Powered by SanDisk, rhymes flew, records spun and bass thumped, as a harmonic sea of urban aficionados got rocked.
