More than 20 years after the dawn of booty music, South Florida clubgoers are still shaking that ass

Those influences may explain the lasting power of booty music to make clubgoers lose their inhibitions and get down to these patently offensive tunes—asses flailing with reckless abandon—again and again.
Mr. Mixx is excited about the attention Campbell's show may bring to South Florida's rap scene. "It's about time," he says. "If we had been in the New York or L.A. scene, we would have had a lot more respect a long time ago. Really, nobody did it like we did. We've been untouchable. We just hadn't had companies like VH1 to back us so that we could put it on a bigger playing field."
