Chef-owner Mark Sulzinski has fashioned a popular and uniquely soulful downtown cafe with his robust Cajun cooking and Bohemian ambiance. Colorful Haitian paintings decorate the walls and the food is just as vibrant, from the traditional servings of gumbo, red beans and rice, etouffee and jambalaya, to such house specialties as pecan-crusted catfish and seafood bouillabaisse. The wine list is small, but well-matched to the food, and not too expensive. And don't miss out on the warm bread pudding for dessert. Lunch is populated by the downtown business set that comes as much to be served by the legendary server Rosamary "Rosie" O'Neal as the first-class food.
