Went downhill when they were going to close it but has got MUCH MUCH better again in the last few months. I would park my boat there and eat anytime over that garbage pile for expensive food across the ICWW, Houston's.
Not bad when I can take out 4 people and get GOOD burgers and drinks for under $50. The Philly Sandwich is great too. If they would just expand out to the other side of the bar where it's empty this place would be AWESOME!

The Sands is a great place to go by boat. The patio bar staff is very friendly, as are the managers. The drinks are great and the pool is fantastic. The food is good, the Po Boy sandwiches and the crispy fish sandwiches are very good, as are the chicken wings. Our fishing club meets in the patio bar.
I frequent the Sands Patio Bar and Joes Riverside Grille quite often. Great value, great food, and great service.
