The Dish
This spot, which celebrates its second anniversary in September, offers a menu of tempting combos.
An Italian Turkey Ruben ($8.99) arrives on roasted garlic bruschetta bread. Inside are slices of tender white meat, melted Swiss cheese, pickled cabbage and roasted red peppers. The bread is lightly brushed on both sides with a red bell pepper pesto before being cooked in a panini press. This sauce adds zing without the garlic being overwhelming.
The Veggie Cheese Flat Bread ($7.49) comes topped with roasted bits of zucchini and red bell peppers nestled in goat and Asiago cheeses. There's also a Kalamata olive spread that gives the sandwich filling a velvety texture. A true treat. Both sandwiches come with crisp greens with raspberry vinaigrette packed separately.
There's also a kid's meal with a choice of a hot dog, grilled cheese or PB&J sandwich, all of which come with chips, a big cookie and juice or soda ($6.79).
Our meal is packed in no–spill plastic containers so the drive home is worry free.
