The Dish
I like that even after 6 p.m., pizza is available by the slice ($3). The pizza slices have a thin crust and a tangy tomato sauce with a good topping of mozzarella.
Although the pizza doesn't disappoint, the portion of eight lobster ravioli for $12 is small. You can order the ravioli in marinara or pink vodka sauce. I opt for the rich vodka sauce that is pleasantly flavored with shallots and pepper for a nice hint of spice.
Add $2 to most entrees and you also get a choice of salad and garlic bread or a side of spaghetti.
The salad is iceberg, cherry tomatoes, onions and cucumbers with a side of tangy Italian dressing. The garlic bread is one small slice of heavily buttered, lightly toasted Italian bread sprinkled with parsley and very little garlic.
The chicken parmigiana sandwich ($7) is about an 8–inch crisp hoagie roll of thin pieces of chicken coated with seasoned bread crumbs and fried so it is not greasy. The marinara sauce is slightly tangy. There's also a generous amount of mozzarella cheese melted over all.
The ravioli comes in a sealed foil container; the sandwich is wrapped in foil and paper and the pizza slices are in a small carton. All travel well.
