i went there with my neighbor, we both ordered the chicken & rib combo platter. the sides were fair, ribs good & the chicken was very dry & over cooked, Both of us are big bbq fans as we bbq almost every weekend for our families.
we wont go back, the chicken we bbq is much better & less expensive.Hit the road jack. rather drive to Tom Jenkins on fed hwy. the staff at jacks seemed overwhelmed & tired.

Went to Jack's about a month ago after reading good reviews. Was truly disappointed. The place was absolutely FILTHY! From the greasy tables, sticky floor and stained fabric chairs to the counter where you place your order, yuck! Was afraid to use the restroom. Food was ok but just the fact of sitting in filth, made me sick to my stomach. If the dining area and front counter was this dirty then how clean can the kitchen be?

This place is terrible,especially the new one in MARGATE! The price for a B-B-Q combo sandwich with a drink was $8.40. The sandwich was on a bun about the size of WHITE CASTLE or KRYSTAL!Fries were cold and beans were like Libby's Pork and Beans out of a can. An extermely high price for poor quailty food! Suggest you go to Scruby's for their food which is far superior and less expensive!!

I haven't been here in months and was very disappointed on how much it has gone downhill. Yes, the collard greens and baked beans were great. But the chicken was so dried out I thought my mothers teeth were going to fall out. And the shredded pork was on the cold side and tough and the corn bread was so, so stale!! Won't go back!!! Jean

Superb when they FIRST opened, but seems like they were too busy without enough help and looked for shortcuts over quality. It shows, the food is awful and now pre-prepared instead of fresh; side dishes are watered down to keep moist. Don't waste your time and in my opinion the Sun-Sentinel needs to update their own review.

The pulled pork was very OLD and not fit for consumption. What they don't sell today is reheated and sold the next day or the day after. Jack, you have lost a lifetime of revenue from this customer.

I grew up in Texas where Bar-B-Q is practically a religion. Therefore, I feel I know good quality Bar-B-Q. Jack serves some of the best I have ever had in my life, and his prices are very reasonable. I eat there as often as I can, and I would recommend Jack's to everyone who loves Bar-B-Q!
