Calling this locale a sports bar is a bit of a misnomer. It certainly looks like a sports bar with a fully stocked bar and more than 20 plasma TV sets hosting a variety of games. It even has tightly clad waitresses who may be short on skirts but big on personality. But sports it is not.
Instead of the often greasy selections sports enthusiasts may be used to, at Wow!es, there are gourmet specialties. There is more than hamburgers and spicy selections of wings. Mussels, snapper, chicken francaise, oven–fired pizza, meatloaf and escargot can also be found on the menu.
Desserts range from apple crumb cake to their specialty, zeppoles. General Manager Frank Petillo created the concept and brought many of his culinary creations from his long–time establishment Cousin Wowies in East Boca Raton. (read full article)
