Just In
South Florida packs in a good bite at almost every street corner. With so many options, it's hard to figure out where to go, much less, what's hot, what's not and what's new. That's where Metromix comes into play. As soon as we know, you'll know. Take a peak at what has opened this month.

If you'd like to see your restaurant listed, send an email to Rochelle Oliver at  Roliver@Metromix.com.

They will even serve Hudson Valley foie gras.

Por Fin

Por Fin, translated as “finally” has arrived to much fanfare presenting Spanish-Mediterranean cuisine, with selections like cod fritters, eggs, paella and short ribs. Pair a spicy selection with a Spanish wine while lounging in style and admiring the authentic villa-esque décor. Reservations required.

Badrutt's Place

1250 South Miami Avenue, Miami
305-415-0070

Feeling uber-chic with a side of European wanderlust? Then travel to Miami’s newest hot spot, Badrutt’s Place, the Swiss palace where the jet set have chilled since 1896. This place has ultra-modern décor from Philippe Starck and food straight out of Europe! Octopus carpaccio anyone?

1 Bleu

10295 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour
305-455-5460

Embodying the concept of “art de vivre,” 1 Bleu Restaurant and adjacent View Bar will open March 3. With an ocean view terrace, 1 Bleu is only the second nationally to have a partnership with Le Cordon Bleu, serving everything from seafood to Kobe beef.

Fatburger

947 Washington Ave. , Miami Beach
305-534-9696

Although founder Lovie Yancey died at the age of 96 on January 26, her Fatburger legacy lives on. Now the pure beef patties are in South Beach. The new 3100 square foot location will also pump out the rock n' roll hits that have made this joint famous.

Ariston

Ariston

940 71st St., Miami Beach
305-864-9848

A getaway to Greece doesn’t necessarily mean jumping on a plane. It can be a trip to Ariston Restaurant. Designed like a Greek Taverna with a fountain view, this locale serves everything from Greek salad to gyros with wine and beer. Ask about the prix fixe menu.

Stir Crazy

14571 sw 5th St., Pembroke Pines

Ever had a desire to pick your own vegetables and meats, top with a sauce of your choosing and have it stir-fried before your very eyes? Then, this is the place for you. Feeling non-creative? This vibrant locale also has an ordinary Asian menu.

pick Bambino Grande

235 Washington Ave., Miami Beach
305-674-1155

When an actor goes culinary, the result is sure to be dramatic. Johnny Pascucci isn’t running a diet show, to the contrary. Bambino Grande features Rat Pack-approved tunes and pasta dishes better than momma makes. All this, for under $12. Such a deal!

Sake Room

1800 Biscayne Blvd., Miami
305-755-0122

At Sake Room, the red walls, paper lamps and Asian accents are overpowered by the star of the show, sake. Let the good times roll! Other spirits like champagne, plum wine and Japanese beer play backup. For sustenance, try tuna tartare or the Sake Room roll.

Christine's Restaurant and Wine Bar

2671 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale
954-566-1919

Christine’s décor is simple (with movie posters and celebrity portraits from W) but its culinary style is much more complex. Its menu includes South Florida cioppino and pappardelle (look it up). Also enjoy entertainment on selected evenings and a large selection of wine.

H & H Cafe

1118 25th St., West Palm Beach
561-868-7839

Healthy bagels? Who knew? On Feb. 13, Hole and Hearty introduced H&H Café at Cosmo & Co. in The Slade. Good-for-you ingredients are packed into their heart smart bagel and one-a-day vita bagel to name a few.

Andu

141 SW 7th St., Miami

Andu Restaurant & Lounge has sensuous décor and a mix of Mediterranean and International delights. Indulge in starters like the lamb gyro or main plates like porcini cannelloni or beef tenderloin. Try a cilantro martini or a ginger mint lemonade to quench your thirst.
