Meet the crews

Some look like blinged-out mimes, some look like zombified extras from "Thriller," but they've all got one thing in common: these nine dance crews are all going for the gold on "America's Best Dance Crew" (Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT), MTV's crump-tastic new dance show that's a little bit "Idol" (viewers vote for their favorite acts; the executive producer is Randy "Pitchy, dawg" Jackson) and a little bit rock n' roll (Flo-Rida performs in the season opener).

Before the first group gets the ax, here's a glimpse of the nine competing crews ready to bring it, step up and stomp the yard.
