American Idol continues to fuel a love/hate fire within

As I sit here at the bar at the Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino in what is now my sixth week following local “American Idol” contestant Syesha Mercado, exhaustion falls over me amidst the revelry and excitement. I cannot tell a lie. While the celebrations are fun, the show itself causes more gnashing of the teeth and rolling of the eyes than a two-hour Carrot Top DVD. In that spirit, here are our least (and most) favorite things about the show.
